Cookies

Like many companies, we sometimes use cookie technology on our web site to obtain non-personal information from online visitors. A cookie is a small text file that a web site can place on your computer’s hard drive in order, for example, to collect information about your activities on the site or to determine whether you are a new or repeat visitor to the site. The cookie transmits this information back to the web site’s computer, which generally speaking, is the only computer that can read it. The cookie does not obtain any personal information about you or provide any way to contact you. Most consumers do not know that cookies are being placed on their computer when they visit web sites. If you want to know when this happens, or to prevent it from happening, you can set your browser to warn you when a web site attempts to place a cookie on your computer. You can also set your browser to reject cookies. You will still be able to visit our web site after setting your browser to reject cookies, but your browsing capabilities may be somewhat affected.

Terms of Service

At CUBE Computer Services we take every precaution when working on your computer in person or remotely. Before we make any changes to your computer we are aware of the risks of the changes and should we need to, we can revert back to a previous state. We also avoid making risky changes that would affect your operating system files or critical components of your computer such as drivers or personal data.

Even with these precautions in place there is always a risk of data loss especially in the case of viruses or hardware failure. That is why it is imperative for you, the end user, to make sure you have performed a backup recently of your critical data such as pictures, music, documents, and financial data. As a rule of thumb you should always backup this information to an external drive for safe keeping. This way your data is always safe, especially in the case of a natural disaster or permanent failure. If you are not backing up your data you must inform the technician working on your computer so they may take even further precautions.

CUBE Computer Services technicians use qualified utilities which allow user to grant control of user computer to a CUBE Computer Services technician remotely over the Internet, so that the technician can diagnose or correct problems. Furthermore, our technician will not use Remote Access tools to collect sensitive or confidential information stored on user computer or network, deliberately destroy information on user computer or network, or cause user to experience system problems.
